On Friday, September 26, 1997, Former President, Excellency FLT. LT Jerry John Rawlings officially launched the American Chamber of Commerce, Ghana.

The event which took place at the Banquet Hall of the State House also had in attendance, the Former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, Heads of U.S Mission in Ghana, Ministers of State, AmCham Members, Business Executives from the American and Ghanaian business communities, among others.
