The American Chamber of Commerce, Ghana (AmCham Ghana), on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, unveiled its Member Impact Documentary, a landmark production that captures, in the words of its own members, the tangible difference American investment continues to make across the country.
The event drew members, partners, and diplomatic representatives, including the U.S. Embassy, for a morning centred on one message: the numbers behind American investment in Ghana are only half the story, the rest is the people, communities, and skills those numbers represent.
Speaking at the unveiling, AmCham CEO Doris Kafui Afanyedey described the documentary as a deliberate shift in how the Chamber tells its members’ stories. “The impact of the collective economic footprint of AmCham member companies in Ghana is significant and deeply woven into Ghana’s economy. AmCham member companies contribute billions of cedis in taxes and investment, create thousands of direct and indirect jobs, and support skills transfer across multiple industries. Our member companies continue to be one of the country’s highest taxpayers. Newmont Ghana alone paid GH₵12.8 billion in taxes in 2025. Other top taxpayers include American Towers Corporation ATC, Kosmos Energy, Mantrac Ghana, and many others.” Ms. Afanyedey noted.

Member companies reaffirmed their scale of contribution to the Ghanaian economy, citing billions of cedis paid in taxes annually, thousands of Ghanaians employed, and sustained investment in training the country’s next generation of skilled workers.
From a Single Storefront to Nationwide Growth — KFC Ghana
KFC’s representative traced the brand’s journey in Ghana from a single flagship outlet to a nationwide footprint, describing the local market as fertile ground for experimentation and expansion. The company reaffirmed confidence in Ghana’s growth potential, pointing to future-facing investment plans still taking shape.
Impact Sourcing at Scale — e-Services
e-Services used the platform to highlight its impact sourcing initiative, which recruits from underserved communities — including Tamale, Bolgatanga, and the Ashanti Region — and equips them with job-ready skills. The company also announced it will open a new delivery centre by the end of October 2026, a milestone described as a direct outcome of its partnership with AmCham.
Endeavor Energy is part of the U.S. footprint powering Ghana’s energy sector, one of the biggest contributors to Ghana-U.S. trade.
Endeavour Energy currently operates two power plants in Ghana with a combined capacity of roughly 400 megawatts. The Twin City Energy plant in Aboadze is a 200 MW combined cycle, dual-fuel facility capable of running on crude oil or natural gas, producing over 1,600 gigawatt-hours a year, enough to energize up to one million Ghanaian households.
