Mantrac Ghana, the exclusive distributor of Caterpillar equipment, on Wednesday 29thJuly 2026, launched a transformative strategic financing partnership with five major banks, aimed at unlocking access to capital for businesses in the mining, construction, power generation, and agricultural sectors.
The event, themed “Powering Possibilities Together; Unlocking Growth Through Strategic Financing Partnerships,” brought together representatives from Mantrac Ghana, Caterpillar, and partner banks, including Ecobank, Absa Bank, Access Bank, Fidelity bank, Stanbic bank others, alongside key industry stakeholders, customers, and government agencies.
In his opening remarks, the Managing Director of Mantrac Ghana, Pierre Lambert Hill, emphasized the critical role of accessible financing in driving growth: “One of the greatest challenges remains access to affordable and flexible financing solutions. Today, we are bringing together world-class equipment, product support, and the financial strength of our banking partners to remove that barrier.”
Madam Shae Watson, Director for Solutions Development for Africa, Asia Pacific, and Latin Africa at Caterpillar, highlighted the importance of the initiative: “Cash flow remains one of the biggest challenges for many customers. This partnership is designed to make financing more accessible and help reduce barriers to investment.”
The consortium of banks unveiled tailored financing solutions, including competitive interest rates, flexible repayment terms, and access to facilities of up to $25 million per customer. They emphasized the need to ensure that their customers have the quality Caterpillar equipment to achieve their ambitions.
As part of the launch, Mantrac Ghana unveiled an exclusive promotional package for 50 machines, including motor graders, bulldozers, excavators, and compactors. The package offers 2,000 hours of free filters, extended guarantees of up to 4,000 hours, and a “Parts and Service Commitment 2.0” that guarantees next-day parts availability.
The Ghana Chamber of Construction and the Ghana Chamber of Mines both endorsed the initiative. The Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Mines, ING. Dr. Kenneth Ashigbey remarked: “Quality is not cheap, so being innovative and making quality accessible to small, medium, and large companies is a great initiative.”
AmCham Ghana was represented by its External Relations and Project Manager, Jane Okyere-Aduachie, whose attendance underscores the Chamber’s support for private-sector-led infrastructure growth and US-Ghana commercial ties.
The event concluded with a ceremonial presentation of partnership agreements and an awards ceremony where Mantrac Ghana was recognized for its outstanding contributions to the construction machinery sector. The Managing Director reaffirmed Mantrac’s commitment: “We are not simply financing equipment; we are financing growth, opportunity, and the future of Ghana.”
