Earlier Today, Thursday 20th August 2026, the American Chamber of Commerce, Ghana (AmCham Ghana), in partnership with the U.S. Embassy Economic & Commercial Section, hosted its Annual Forum with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) at the Residence of the U.S. Chief of Mission, Accra.

Held under the theme “Advancing Tax Transparency and Business Confidence,” the forum brought together private-sector leaders and senior GRA officials for a candid, solutions-focused dialogue on tax policy, compliance, and reform priorities shaping Ghana’s investment climate.

Guest of Honor Mr. Anthony Akwasi Sarpong, Commissioner-General of the GRA, outlined the Authority’s reform roadmap, spanning legal and policy modernization, digital compliance tools, and improved dispute resolution, and engaged directly with member questions on VAT, customs facilitation, and taxpayer services.

Conversations like these matter. A transparent, predictable tax environment is one of the strongest signals we can send to investors, and dialogue between policy and private enterprise is how we get there.
