The Ghana real estate professionals’association has proposed a strategic collaboration with AmCham Ghana ahead of its 5th annual real estate conference, aimed at connecting U.S. real estate companies and investors with opportunities in Ghana’s property market
A key component of the proposal is the association’s existing bilateral relationship with the U.S. National Association of Realtors, with the upcoming conference 14th–16th October, 2026 expected to draw U.S.-based delegates and international participants, including confirmed representation from France, United States and the UK. The association also outlined its regulatory role under Ghana’s real estate agency framework, including agent licensing, training, and anti-money-laundering compliance requirements, as part of efforts to professionalize the sector and build trust with prospective foreign investors and partners.
The discussions were held during a meeting between the association’s leadership and AmCham Ghana, led by Chief Executive Officer Doris Afanyedey.
Ms. Afanyedey welcomed the proposed collaboration and reaffirmed AmCham Ghana’s commitment to connecting member companies with credible local partners and platforms that support U.S.–Ghana business ties, including further conversations on the scope of a formal partnership and membership structure.
