Inside the Free Zone: The American Chamber of Commerce in Ghana Visits Agility Logistics Parks

As part of our member engagement in the Tema Free Zones Enclave, the chamber led by our Chief Executive Officer, Doris Afanydey, engaged with Agility Logistics Parks to see how premium, ready-to-lease warehousing is supporting business at Ghana’s main gateway.

On Tuesday, 27 October 2026, the American Chamber of Commerce in Ghana, led by Chief Executive Officer Doris Afanydey, with Jane Okyere-Aduachie, and Communications Officer Albert Ludwig Nortey Botchway, visited Agility Logistics Parks Ghana as part of our ongoing effort to take stock of members operating in the Tema Free Zones Enclave. We were hosted by Dickson Odei, country manager, who walked us through the park and its plans for growth.

Located beside Tema Port, the park covers approximately 160,000 square metres and offers businesses international-standard warehousing without the cost and risk of building their own. Despite the name, Agility Logistics Parks is not a freight forwarder or transport company. Its focus is the park itself: tenants lease secure, fully serviced space in a range of sizes, from about 600 square metres up to 4,000 square metres, and get on with running their business. Power, water, internet and facility management are handled on site, and access is tightly controlled.

The model is clearly resonating. Dickson Odei explained that the warehouses are now fully occupied, with open yard space still available for vehicles and heavy equipment. Recent congestion at the port has added to demand for secure storage close to Tema. To meet it, Agility Logistics Parks will begin construction on its next phase, approximately 24,000 square metres of additional space, this month.

The park is also setting a benchmark for green building in Ghana. In May 2026, all five of its warehouses earned the International Finance Corporation’s Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies Advanced certification, recognising major savings in energy, water and embodied carbon.

“Our customers don’t have to worry about power, water or security. They come in, and they focus on their business.” — Dickson Odei, country manager, Agility Logistics Parks Ghana

We thank the Agility Logistics Parks team for their hospitality. Members interested in warehousing or yard space in the Free Zone can connect with the company through the Chamber Secretariat.
