The American Chamber of Commerce, Ghana, on May 6 to 11, 2023, joined our member, the Ghana Real Estate Professionals Association, to attend the 2023 Realtors Legislative Meetings in Washington D.C.

This annual event hosts over 100 exhibitors and several activities to advance the real estate industry and influence public policy. This event also attracts Federal Political Coordinators (FPCs) and other politically active members who communicate with congressional representatives on Capitol Hill.

Through the efforts of the Chamber and our member company GREPA, Ghana’s Minister of State at the Presidency, Hon. Dr. Freda Prempeh, shared the country’s perspective in advising the interest of realtors to address prevailing housing challenges during theGlobal Business & Alliances Committee meeting.

During her remarks, the minister noted that Ghana stands ready to engage potential investors to take advantage of the country’s ever-increasing opportunities in the promising real estate industry. “Under the broad vision of the President’s Private Public Partnership initiative on Affordable Housing Delivery in Ghana, we have engaged and brought together major stakeholders in the construction industry that are interested in improving housing opportunities for residents of Ghana and, by extension, the West African Sub-region,” she added.

The Chamber also joined the International Real Estate Federation USA, for their Installation Dinner on the sidelines of the 2023 REALTORS® Legislative Meeting.
