Ghana Oil & Gas Conference 2024

The Ghana Upstream Petroleum Chamber, in partnership with AmCham Ghana, successfully hosted the Annual Oil & Gas Conference 2024 on September 25th and 26th at the Marriott Hotel Accra. The event was graced by the presence of the United States Ambassador to Ghana, Virginia Palmer, as the Guest of Honor.

The conference kicked off with opening remarks delivered by Theophilus Ahwireng, Managing Director of MODEC and Vice Chairman of the Chamber.

Day One of the conference focused on the pressing issues confronting the oil and gas industry. A key highlight was the presentation of the 2024 annual report on exploration and production.

On Day Two, the event shifted its attention to local content participation and critical topics such as gas monetization, local content deepening, and securing financing for Ghanaian service companies. An insightful panel discussion further explored these themes.
